Who We Are
Our tribe, the Zalabiyah, has called the red desert of Wadi Rum home for centuries. True to our Bedouin heritage, we take pride in showing our guests the utmost in hospitality.
My grandfather, Chief Attayaq, who worked on the 1962 film Lawrence of Arabia, was the first guide to share this landscape with Western guests.
Let us show you our unique heritage and way of life, with the most authentic Bedouin tours that Wadi Rum has to offer.
Meet the Camel Adventure Team
We are a locally business and everyone who works with us is hired from the local community. This means that the money you spend is invested directly back into the heart of Wadi Rum.

FounderI am Eid, the youngest of the six sons of Chief Attayiq, the first Bedouin to show tourists the marvels of Wadi Rum. We continue to pass down our intimate knowledge of the desert, and often take tourists to visit our relatives that have retained purely nomadic lifestyles.

Race Founder and Head GuideMy name is Ali. I am the oldest son of Eid Attayiq and I was born here in Wadi Rum. The desert is my favorite place in the world. Even though I have been here all my life, I am still amazed every time I go into the desert.

Desert Challenge Race Director
Duncan is a former Military Officer and the co-founder of the Desert Challenge endurance camel race. The race was inspired by his friendship with Ali, and together they designed the sort of physical and mental challenge they would love to enter themselves.
